Day 4 of the 5-day black-and-white challenge! We’re getting near the finish line, folks.
Today, I thought it would be fun to take some of my earlier photos and put them into black-and-white, just to see what happens.
By the way, the photos with date stamps were ones I took before I figured out that I could turn off that feature. I converted them into black-and-white and added my signature, but couldn’t find a way to remove the date stamp.
Cody is cute no matter whether the photo is in full color or in black-and-white. And she knows it!
I’m getting much better at this already. Perhaps some day, I can make some money at it.
Maybe then I could update my kitchen:
I love the way black-and-white makes that kitchen look so much cleaner!
Now, while I’m waiting for my ship to finally come in, I’d like to introduce my next invitee. I’ve been following Hughes1963, of Grayfeathers Blog, and he posts some stunning photography. Please join me in inviting Hughes1963 to participate in this 5-day challenge.
To reiterate the rules, participants must post a black-and-white photo each day for 5 consecutive days, and must invite another blogger on each of those 5 days (a different blogger each day, of course).
Hughes1963: Do you accept the challenge? (Please?)

Yes, she is precious. Most of the time.

I love photos in black and white. And it’s smart as the color never fades ruining the picture.
The white snowy background really shows off Cody’s fuzzy coat – and that expressive face.
Your name’s style/size/location looks great. ( I need to start doing that)

Thanks. I don’t know why, but sometimes having the signature on the photo makes it look more professional.

I think it looks great – and serves to protect image as much as you can.

I wonder, though, would it be better to leave the signature off pictures I post on Flickr.com since I want other people to have an opportunity to use them on their own blogs? Would the signature put people off? Or should I just make the signature smaller?

If it’s on Flickr, it goes into Commons.wikimedia.org. for people to use. I’d leave it on – make it smaller if you like, but you should get credit/acknowledgment for it – not someone else grabbing it and claiming authorship.

Good point. Thanks for the advice. I’ll start putting my signature on all my photos.

nice variety – and the coins were interesting with the blur to try front – and clarity to the back 🙂

Thanks. Original I took the coins in color (you can see it on Flickr.com), but the black-and-white looks so much better.

lol. Yeah, the effects can act like makeup, covering up dirt ’n’ stuff.
