Well, I gotta say, Mark, it definitely was not easy getting Cody to sit for even the 15 seconds it took to shoot that. A piece of roasted sweet potato in hand helped a lot (hence, the look of anticipation in her eyes). But it took more than one piece of sweet potato – she kept shaking the bunny ears off.

How do you tell a dog it’s not nice to play with dead bunnies? I would have just let her eat it. Or whatever she would have done.

I was afraid to let her eat it because I didn’t know what it died from. I didn’t want her to get sick from eating diseased or poisoned meat.

Poisoned meat is certainly a concern. But anything else, I don’t know. Our dogs eat cat poop with no ill effects.
