I am absolutely thrilled today to announce that Julie of Random Musings of a Type-A Workaholic has nominated me for the Sunshine Award and the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thank you, Julie!
No one has ever nominated me for any kind of award before, and this was totally unexpected, especially since Julie and I only found each other’s blogs very recently. And Julie is not even one of my relatives!
Apparently, I’m supposed to now answer a series of questions, but I am a very lazy person, and after all it is Easter Sunday. So, if you want to know anything about me, just go to my About page and my A Star Is Born post.

Who is Cordelia’s Mom a/k/a CookieCakes going to nominate for these awards? You must realize my followers list is still quite modest, and the blogs I follow are fewer still because I’m very picky (more on this in a post next month – stay tuned).
Obviously, I can’t nominate my favorite male bloggers for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, so in order to give them special recognition, I must nominate them for the Sunshine Award, even if their blogs are not particularly sunshiny at times.

Thank you so much for honoring me. I’ve shoplifted a copy of the award to put on my blog-mantel, and am about to compose an acceptance/reply post, extolling your abilities. Are there any rules to this game….uh, award? I should know before I get to ignoring or breaking them. 😕

Not really. It’s my understanding from when I was “nominated” that you merely need to acknowledge the award and then make your own nominations if you wish. It’s just a nice way for bloggers to recognize each other’s abilities, and sometimes it results in a little additional readership. Plus, it looks good on the blog page. In my case, I think it makes me look more like a real writer, 🙂
