Thanks to the multitude (all 14 of you!) who responded to my recent poll.
Not one single person voted to keep that darn monthly schedule. 14% voted to get rid of it completely, 79% didn’t care either way, and 7% said to mix it up. (If you’re into math, you can calculate the actual numbers based on the percentages – you might need a calculator because the numbers are so high!).
So, I guess, based on that very scientific study, the answer is:
Surprise is better than anticipation.
I must admit it’s a bit of a relief to do away with the schedule. It was started simply to drum up some readership – that having been accomplished, it’s no longer necessary.
Once again, my readers have come through – apparently, I can write whatever I want, whenever I want, and someone will pay attention. I like that.
Feeling very special right now – thanks, everyone!

Good to know. I’ve found I have some wonderful, dedicated readers, and I’m grateful for every single one. Now I need to come up with some posts that will justify that dedication!

Crud, and oh I blew it, I must be scattered. It has been a stressful month, I guess. I missed the poll, I didn’t vote. Mea culpa; heck, I do not know what that means, I only learned that gravy isn’t gravy living in Ridgefield. Blergh. My Italian, that is Italian is not good, even for Seattle Cherokee.
This is bad. I recently called my homeowners association over a different matter and learned the annual meeting is at 6:15 on the first Tuesday in November this year, AKA election day. I almost ripped mulriple throats out over the phone. Better this year than next, but still, not considerate towards working people. The sort who work, 8-to-5 or 9-to-6 Monday through Friday, and commute, because no one does that in the United States. I asked that they changed it for other people. I vote early or by mail-in ballot because of evening classes and my stupid Vestibular Disorder. Bevause one of the great joys of being an American is you can vote on Election Day. They not only declined my request, they reminded me to put the date on the calendar.
Note to Puppy Cody, please. In Washington state, where that cat Mehtabel lives and hangs out with those unnatural black-and-white bears who drive cars, voting is odd. Voters are denied voting in person. Or so some are in some counties. You must mail in ballots to vote. No options. I am suspicious. I fear my cats are behind this decision. I will name the next one Chad, no matter gender.
If I had voted, I would have voted for one of two categories. I will read anything CordeliasMom writes. Or TeddyRosalie. I wonder if I hit a wrong button and got off a list. If there’s a Cordelia around, even Cordelia herself, I am your girl. I haven’t seen much from TeddyRosalie lately.
My other option is to say toss all rules out the window and do what you want CordeliasMom, you have had a tough summer and accomplished gobs. I think you are among the Bestest. Plus, life is short. Cake and Cake Party first.
Peace-Out. Blergh Blerghity Balance Exercises to Face. Happy Weekend. Apologies for missing the vote. I will not do so in November.

Sorry you missed the poll, but you have voted via comment, and that counts.

Hey, CM ~ thanks for ditching the schedule-posts! I found them sort of a waste of both of our our time and attention. I’m currently “working on” (as in just recognized the existence of/need for) my ‘time budget’ (different than ‘money budget’) and the ADD-ish-ness makes it challenging, to say the least!
Keep posting – whatever floats your boat at the moment – my dear!

Hm – well you must be one of the most honest readers I have, Karen. I suspect lots of others were of the same opinion as you (that my schedule was a waste of time), but everyone was too polite to say it! Since you’ve been with me from the very beginning, I value your opinion highly. Were it not for you and one or two others (my own daughter being one), I wouldn’t still be writing a blog today.
Let’s just say that my future posts will be a surprise to all of us. 🙂

Hmmmmm …. seeing I missed the poll this I will say now. Yes ditch the schedule and wing it! I post when my Heart guides me to as to when. I don’t look at traffic, I don’t look at stats, I just plunge right in and post when I am up to it. Surprise is the element. That way you will keep us and YOU on your toes! Sometimes I post every day. Sometimes I post every other day. When I really want to bury myself in comments, I post twice a day. Now? I’ve realized that LIFE is more important than blogging. Yet if it were not for blogging, I wouldn’t have the outlet I do for yakking. LOL ❤

Sounds like you have a good handle on the whole thing. I love blogging, but I admit that trying to dream up and stick to a post schedule was adding way more stress than I need right now (post on that coming out very, very shortly). Thanks for your support, Amy.

You are more then welcome. Life itself offers enough stress, thank you, without adding more while blogging. Blogging is challenging enough as well. We really are supposed to ENJOY it. (smiling) ❤
