I haven’t been doing much photography lately, as you may have noticed.
Hubby cleaned out the spare room upstairs and brought part of his drum set down. Something about that cymbal standing in the corner spoke to me – it was one of those “I just gotta” photography moments.
Imagine my surprise when I opened the digital file to edit the photo and saw that heart shadow! Apparently my muse (which I didn’t even know I had) loves music.
Or, maybe the ghost of the old lady from whom we purchased the house is simply letting me know she’s still here and watching over the premises.
Who knows?!
(Now, if I could just find a muse to help with managing those ever increasing expenses!)

Yeah, and this wasn’t the first time. I often find faces on my photos when I edit them. Sometimes it’s a little spooky.

Thanks. It took me awhile to figure out how that shadow appeared, and then I realized it’s simply because the cymbal is in the corner and reflects onto both adjacent walls. Nothing mystical about it after all.

Your photo ushered back a memory from my youth when my father was a weekend warrior drummer and I’d help move his drum set in and out of his station wagon for his band wedding gigs. It occurs to me that cymbal was one of his favorites, called the “high-hat.” Great photo, CM!

Thanks, Mark. Hubby was a drummer in his younger days and a couple of years ago decided to relive that. He also got back into guitar playing. It keeps him happy and gives him something to do other than annoying me.
