If any of you suddenly stopped receiving email notifications of my new posts, this is why:
***
For whatever reason, MailChimp decided to “clean up” my subscription list. Apparently many email followers simply read the posts on the email itself without clicking through to the blog, and anyone who has not “opened” any of the emails within a certain period of time is automatically dropped by MailChimp. “Cleaning” the subscription list left me with something like 3 email subscribers (hard to believe, isn’t it?).
So, since MailChimp dropped my subscribers, I am dropping it.
At the top of the sidebar on the right side of this page, there is a new “follow me” button. If you wish to receive email notifications, please re-enter your email address by clicking on the button.
The advantage of the email notifications, of course, is that you are informed of each new post and don’t have to scroll through the WordPress Reader looking for it. As many of us know, the WordPress Reader is often clogged up by super-bloggers who post numerous times a day (but many of us love you anyway, Opinionated Man), and posts by less prolific bloggers are often buried somewhere near the bottom.
My posts are much too entertaining to be overlooked.
Sign up for the emails now!

I was one of the three left! I am so proud of myself, supporting poor struggling bloggers. And of course, I’m proud of you too CM for your blogging skills. Carry On!

Thanks, Paul. Be sure to re-subscribe so you keep getting those emails. I’m going to deactivate the MailChimp account completely.

I wondered why I hadn’t gotten a post from you lately. and yes, I am one of those lazy people who read the blog in the email and don’t click through to WordPress. I thought merely by opening the email that would keep me on your mailchimp list, but alas, I was mistaken. Phooey on them!

Oh no, and you’ve always been one of my best supporters! Be sure to re-subscribe, and when you get a chance (I know Pandamorphosis is keeping you busy right now), read the posts you missed.
