Running On Empty

There Once Was A Dirty Little Girl

Nuts, already did that one.

How ‘boutMy Life As a Real Estate Paralegal

Damn, did that already, too.

MaybeHow to Save and Still Be Happy

Nope, Cordelia did that.

Ok, let’s put on that thinking cap.  SOMETHING must have happened that I haven’t already covered!

I know! – that news article I saw about DNA testing for prospective parents.

So how do all the other bloggers do it? Some of you have been blogging for YEARS and manage to come up with something new once or twice a week, or more.

MemoI keep a small notepad in my purse so I can jot down ideas immediately – sometimes this is difficult if I’m driving, but hey, where there’s a will there’s a way, right?

(Oooooo, another idea…..)

(Dammit all, Cordelia’s whole blog is about that!)

I’ve only been at this a couple of months on my own, and for about a year prior to that I guest-posted for Cordelia, but already I am getting panicky.  What can I write about?  Think!

I don’t watch TV and I don’t go to movies, so I can’t comment on those.  My life basically consists of driving to and from work, doing chores at home (does anyone want to hear about my laundry experiences?), playing videogames, and writing this blog.

Granted, my readership has gone from 2 (both family members) to at least 4 (2 family members and 2 complete strangers), so effectively, my readership has doubled.

[Hold off the sympathy, folks – that last was a joke.  My readership has gone up to at least 22!]

OK, that’s enough of the self-pity.  Somehow, somewhere, I WILL find the ideas I need to keep you all entertained.  I refuse to give up and disappoint the new followers I have managed to obtain, and giving up would be a betrayal to those loyal readers who followed me from Cordelia’s blog.

(And yes, there were more than 2 that followed me – please get that out of your heads, my loving supporters).

This is a nice short post for today – even my ideas have run out of ideas.  But I’ll make sure that changes!

Join me again next week – and bring your friends!

As always, I love to hear from my readers.  You may either comment on this post, or email me at:

Though I must admit I seldom actually *post* most of the drafts – one of my most fertile sources of ideas, observations and “oohh, that’s interesting!”s is public radio news and information programming – which I listen to mainly while driving to and from work! 😉 Google your favorite radio station for their blogs, too…
Also: if you find it interesting – if you can stand to write about it, we can stand to read about it (sure – your take on “laundry experiences” would be interesting – and probably a giggle-fest, too)! (How long have you been doing it??! Must be some great stories there…)
Tammy and CJ Renzi over at “The” write about what they see on their daily walks – often it’s the squirrels in the ‘hood!

    Hugs and happy thinking, CM!
