I don’t know why I find this so amusing – perhaps because it would be just one more way to say [sing], “It IS all about me!”

Pouring My Art Out

When I feel a little down in the dumps, here is a funny thing I do to cheer myself up. I take a random love song and replace all the word ‘you’ with either ‘I’ or ‘me’. Yes, I sing a love song to myself. Let me give you an example.

I am my sunshine

My only sunshine

I make me happy

When skies are gray

I’ll never know, dear

How much I love me

Please don’t take… my sunshine… away…

Go on, give it a try. Find the perfect song and make it all about you. And when you sing it, sing it like you really mean it. Because you should.
