Our newest family member.
Say hello to Maya, the 10-week-old German Shepherd puppy – Puppy Cody’s new little cousin.
If only the silly thing would hold still for 2 seconds so Grandma could get a nice, clear picture.
But she’s adorable none-the-less. It’s going to be so much fun watching her grow, especially since I don’t have to take care of her.

She’s beautiful! I love the breed, and we intended to get a GSD after Barney died, but the one we saw, although beautiful and worth every penny of the £600 they wanted (for a show dog) she didn’t like me! In fact, she didn’t like women, period, so we walked away and ended up getting a local paper and finding Maggie on a farm advertising Sprollies.

But Maggie’s been such a joy! You made the right decision. This pup came from a breeder downstate. We previously had a purebred GSD, so had a pretty good idea what to look for,

Maggie is our baby, even though she’s almost 16. The ex-partner had a GSD which ended up gravitating towards me, and when she died, I got another from a breeder, though Kizzy was 5 and had been tied to their gate posts and abandoned. She was a nervous wreck, but I spent a lot of time with her and gained her trust. I lost her at 10 to mammary cancer.

We lost our Riggsie to bloat, and our Morgan to lymphoma. It’s never easy to lose a pet.

Babs died of bloat too. When the pass away, they leave such a gap. Maggie has made her own place in our hearts, but we never forget our other fur babies.

Aw, how adorable!! Her ears look so big …. that is a dead giveaway that Maya is a puppy.

Thanks, Amy. I do love those ears! Eventually she’ll grow into them, but for now they’re just so cute.

She’s a real cutie and I’m sure will grow up to be a grand dog, as most shepherds do!

I sure hope so, She’s my granddog, not my personal dog, so I don’t get to train her. But I know she’ll grow up well because she’s so loved.

She is, Dan. And now that she’s settled in a bit (all of 2 weeks!), she just beginning to feel her oats. I’m glad I can visit her and then leave her to her owners to deal with.

Shitty. It’s going shitty. Sorry. I will get to it but I have to prioritize getting my stuff out, which I never do. It’s just time.

No problem, Trent. Get to it when you can.

She is. She’s also an alpha, so my daughter is going to have her hands full making sure she grows up into a good dog.
