Summer Day

A family member is resting after this morning’s sinus surgery, so I took the opportunity to run home and let Puppy Cody out (and take a few quick photos).  Cody and I enjoyed it, but I don’t think the bunny did.

What the dog sees:

Lots of flowers, so where is that bunny? Puppy Cody wants to play!

What the bunny sees:

There’s that dog again! Bunny doesn’t want to play.

Cody is back in the house now; the bunny is safe.

Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone.

  3. Squirrels and bunnies have a bad attitude towards dogs. They NEVER want to play! Birds too. All they do is fly away.

how is your Nikon working out for you?

    • It’s ok, but ever since I had to get it fixed, it seems to have too much blue. I’ve tried adjusting the white balance – sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t, but that may be simply photographer inexperience. Basically, I’ve found the Nikon to be really good at close-ups of birds, flowers, and the moon, and it has a really nice pet setting. But it’s kind of big, so I use my old pocket Olympus most of the time, and now that I actually have learned how to use the Olympus it seems to take photos just as well as the Nikon, and better than the Nikon for most outdoor shots. Who would have known?

check your Flash mode button. Is it set for indoor lighting or fluorescent lighting?

        • Did that. Doesn’t make any difference no matter which setting I use. I’ve tried all the auto settings, and also tried manual settings. I changed the picture quality to “fine”, which of course makes the photos crisper but doesn’t change the color. I’ve even tried changing the color temp setting. (“Digital Photography for Dummies” is a great book for people like me.) I think the camera got f’d up somehow at the repair shop. But the zoom photos are still good, and that’s what I bought the camera for originally, so I’ll just deal with it until I can afford another one.
