And thus, I was given the perfect title for this post, thanks to the furnace technician.
Who arrived late. Work was supposed to start at 8:30 am, but someone called in sick and everyone else had to scramble to cover appointments. As annoying as it was that hubby and I both took off work for this install, the delay did give me time to do a little “reading.”
And “photography.”
Enjoy! If you don’t hear from me again, it will be because the house blew up from a gas leak.
(PS – my new computer monitor is in, but I can’t go get it because my car is at the back of the driveway, behind the furnace company truck. Not that I could leave right now anyway … )

Love the photo. Glad your moniter is in, hopefully you will have time after the furnace install to run out and get it before the store closes.

Thanks. I was trying to figure out a “still life” shot for this week’s Flickr prompt, and the photo just occurred to me while “reading.” The furnace guy’s comment was awesome timing.

Yep. But, knock on wood, it seems to be looking up. Not only is the furnace in, and working, but I also now have my compute monitor.

It did. The furnace guys were awesome. They installed that unit in just over 2 hours, and it seems to be running beautifully.

Furnace and computer working – things are looking up! (The photo is fun – nice contrast and repetition of shapes – good composition – has to be a classic)

ooooo, I so love it when someone says one of my photos is a “classic” – now if only I could get someone else to pay me for one. Maybe the new computer, with its better graphics, will help.

In this crass Canadian’s house, “If you smell a little gas…” has a completely different meaning. 😉 😯
