Or maybe it’s just timing.
I took this little gem with my really old Kyocera flip phone, through a car window on a rainy evening. I call it “A Nation Weeps“.
Do you like?
(Yes, I know the period is supposed to go inside the quotes, but I like it better this way, and it’s my blog.)
What do you think of my new photographer’s moniker? I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my mom, and it just seems fitting.
Happy Friday, Everyone!

Not bad, especially considering the age of the camera.

Thanks, Marilyn. At some point, I’ll try to retake it with the better camera. Lord knows it’ll be raining long enough for me to do so.

Somehow I get the sense you took that photo on November 9th, 2016.

No, I took it this past week. Sorry to disappoint.

Oh, okay. Then I guess it was the synagogue shooting. Somehow I was under the impression you took that photo a long time ago. Anyway, it’s not bad at all for an old phone camera, in my view. I think it sets the mood you intended.

In hindsight, I think it would be more effective if the flag were at half-mast. At some point, I’ll retake it.

I the photo, I love that the studios have Teddy Rosalie’s name! As far as I am concerned you can put the full stop wherever you choose, your blog your rules 💜💜

It’s too long a drive for me (my car doesn’t float and I don’t do planes). But if I suddenly win the lottery …

But not the moniker? You can be honest. I’m trying to figure out if I should keep on with it.

Depends on the purpose. If you’re using it to defend rights, you might have to register it somehow. If just an identity thing, it’s fine, I like it.

Thanks, Dan. I’m hoping to use the name for business at some point, in which case I’ll get a DBA. I already did all kinds of searches to make sure there’s no conflict with “real” photographers. The first couple of names I tried (for instance, CMStudio, which I really liked) did, in fact, belong to existing businesses or were so close as to be confusing. What I did like is that when I googled TeddyRosalie Studio, it linked to couple of the posts on my own site, and didn’t link to anyone else. I think it might work.

My stomach flipped when you described what according to you, this picture is. How appropriate. Sad but true. As for the new photographer’s monike, I’m not sure what you mean. 🤗

I just wondered if people like the new moniker.
BTW, did you notice that some of the raindrops look like faces? There’s one near the bottom that seems to be smiling!

I don’t know what a moniker is. That is what I was asking. And no I didn’t notice about the raindrops. I’ll have to go check and see ….

YES! I do see faces. How cool is that?

Little freaky, though, that two of my recent pictures have had faces in them that I didn’t see when taking the photo. As for “moniker” – that’s the name I used on the photo (“TeddyRosalie Studio”). Some people like it, some don’t. I’m trying to decide if I want to use that instead of my usual “www.cordeliasmomstill.com.”

Thank you. I personally love the photo, even though it was taken with a really old flip phone. I especially love the way some of the raindrops seem to have faces.
