The Thunder Spell

DO YOU BELIEVE IN ANGELS?

This is why it’s a good idea to check that spam filter every once in awhile.

Fortunately, I check my spam every day because I’m looking for candidates for my Spam-Bam series.  However, every now and then a genuine comment is misdirected into spam, usually because there’s a link or two in the comment and it’s posted by someone who has not previously commented on my blog.

encouraging-thunderWhile checking that spam filter, I learned that I had been nominated for the Encouraging Thunder Award by blogger, Erich Michaels.  I was going to say that Erich is a newer blogger, until I checked his stats and discovered that he has more readers than I do!  How is that possible?  Crap.

Anyway, I am honored to accept the award, and grateful that it carries no requirements other than acknowledging its receipt and linking back to the blogger who grants it.

The award was originally created by Raymond of the blog, Encouraging Life, to wit:

Thunder creates a powerful addition to the blog as an awesome blog award. Raymond, encouraginglife.co founder, was bestowed upon a thunder medallion by the great nature so he can create a powerful spell Encouraging Thunder to grant powerful protection to other bloggers. It’s a special spell that only bloggers who has true purpose in their life can master it.

“As other bloggers are granted the power of thunder, he or she has the permission to post the power of thunder on their blogs as well as sharing the award with other bloggers.

I can think of no one with a more true purpose in blogging that the no-bloggers over at The No Blog Blog.  I hereby nominate those bloggers for the Encouraging Thunder Award.  Congratulations to Paul Curran, Julie No Blog, Gibber (Administrator of The No Blog Blog and owner of the blog, Gibber Jabberin), and any and all other non-bloggers who wish to join us here in the World Within a World (otherwise called the blogosphere).

congrats CM! And Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I most humbly accept this, my very first, award and insist that it was mostly Gibber and Julie NoBlog who contributed. Please don’t forget that List Of X opened the blog for Julie.

  7. You see, if it weren’t for the chain letter thing with all these other awards, most of us wouldn’t mind accepting them. But after awhile, I don’t feel like I’m getting an award. I feel like I’m being told to spam my friends. Which I simply will not do.

    • I totally agree with you. I won’t accept any that require me to answer a bunch of questions and then nominate 10 other people. If I did, I would find myself nominating the same bloggers over and over again.

Congratulations Little Bright Light…or Big Noise, or whatever. If you get feeling down about no blog excitement, you can stop in at my site and watch me show guide-dogs how to get their blind charges back to the bus stop on the information highway. 😉
