I accidentally hit “publish” when I should have hit “save draft” – and then had to recopy and delete the post in question in order to keep to my previously published February schedule. (Note to Newbies – see? It can happen to the best of us!)
So, if you received notification of my February Spam-Bam post, or thought you actually saw it on WordPress – you are not losing your mind, it was there for about 5 minutes today.
But now you all are just going to have to wait until February 26, 2015 to enjoy that gem. And trust me, it will be worth waiting for!
Meanwhile, why not enjoy all my other spam-bam posts and everything else I have ever published. Just check out the Categories and Archives drop-down menus on the right side of this page. Enjoy!

Ah, so that’s what happened. I’ve done that — hit “publish” instead of “preview” or “save draft” — a couple of times. We are only human, right?

Imagine my chagrin when I realized I had to somehow delete it without losing the post itself. I had already deleted the spammer comments that I used for that particular post and didn’t have any more in the queue! I had to actually “restore” the deleted post so I could copy it – so it actually got published twice before I could “un-publish” it. Damn, I hate when I do that.

Yep, confusing wasn’t it? But I’m honored that you saw it within those 5 minutes or so. I’ll look forward to your comment in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, I know. The preview still appears on Facebook, too, but no one can get to the actual post since it’s not there any more. Gotta love the internet.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve hit “publish” instead of “update.” I really hate it when that happens!

I think maybe they should put those two buttons on opposite sides of the editing page.

I’ve done that. I have to confess that I read a bit of the post in the email, but I deleted that and I will wait until the end of the month now 🙂

It’s cool that you were eager to read it as soon as the email came in. You’ll enjoy the actual post.

I like the email notifications, but I prefer reading the posts for the format. When I couldn’t find it, I started reading the email but then I saw your other post in my inbox.

I wondered if it was actually possible to totally delete the darn thing. Apparently not. But it’s good to know for future reference (since I’m pretty sure this will happen again, probably more than once).
